Converted Raleigh Class Flagship Profile Drawings by George E. Bieda

The USS La Salle (AGF-3) was converted from an amphibious transport dock (LPD) specifically to serve as the flagship for the Commander of US Naval Forces, Central Command.  In November, 1994, she replaced the cruiser USS Belknap as the flagship of the US Sixth Fleet in the Mediterranean.
